Important Notes
The best time for the 6 Days Serengeti Migration Safari depends on the movement of the Great Migration, especially in the Kogatende area where river crossings usually occur between July and October. Wildlife viewing in Tanzania is excellent throughout the year, and every season offers a unique safari experience. Early morning game drives provide the best opportunities to see active wildlife and predators hunting across the plains.
This safari is operated using a private 4x4 safari Land Cruiser with a pop-up roof for comfortable game viewing and photography. Travelers are advised to carry passports, travel insurance, personal medication, and enough camera storage for unforgettable wildlife moments. Lightweight clothing for daytime and warmer layers for early mornings and evenings are highly recommended due to changing temperatures during the safari.
Packing Notes
For the 6 Days Serengeti Migration Safari, it is recommended to pack comfortable safari clothing in neutral colors such as khaki, green, or beige to avoid attracting insects and disturbing wildlife. A light jacket or fleece is important for cool mornings and evenings, especially in the Ngorongoro Highlands area. Comfortable walking shoes, sunglasses, sunscreen, and a hat are also highly recommended for protection from the African sun.
Travelers should also bring a camera or binoculars for wildlife viewing, personal toiletries, insect repellent, chargers, reusable water bottles, and any personal medications. Soft travel bags are preferred over hard suitcases because they are easier to fit inside safari vehicles and camps.
